My favourite technological object.

Hello friends! This time I will speak about my favourite technological object. This is my mp4.
The mp4 has many functions. You can, with your mp4: listening to music, watch videos, watch pictures, voice recording and radio tune. As you can see, the mp4 is an useful object.
I got my mp4 when I am in the school, four years ago. This was a Christmas’ gift. I usually use my mp4, I use, for example, when I go in the bus, in the metro, etc. Thus, I can listen my favourite music while I travel to university, to my home, etc. Sometimes, I take my mp4, I go my room, I turn off the light and I listen my favourite music in peace, out the world. This is the moment when I enjoy my mp4. And sometimes I also watch the videos’s my favourite artists or I watch movies.
I think that my life without my mp4 would be boring, because I travel a lot of in the bus and the metro and to see all days people is boring. Furthermore, my mp4 help me when I am tired.
That is all, folks! I wait your comments and I also want to know about their objects.
Good bye!

Víctor Jara

Hello friends!! This time I will write about a person that I admire, about Víctor Jara.

Victor Jara was born in 1932 and he died in 1973. When he was a child he lived in Lonquén, a rural locality near Santiago. His family was poorest and his parents were peasants. He doesn´t study music, but his mother learned him to play the guitar.

He liked folklore, so he integrated the Universidad de Chile´s choir in 1953. He also liked theater, and then he studied acting and theatre direction in this university. He was a complete artist, because he was actor, director and musician. As theatre director he travelled to Cuba, Argentina, Uruguay and Venezuela and as musician he travelled to Holland, France, Soviet Union, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru and Argentina. He also won many awards as musician.

In 1970 he works in the electoral campaign of the Popular Unity. After, he work in poblations as musician and voluntary and he speak against the civil war and fascism.

11 september, 1973: Víctor Jara is captured by the militaries and he is led at Chile´ Stadium. In this place, he is tortured and murdered.

To finish, I think that Víctor Jara is a consistent person, he support poor people and he helped them. He believed in the popular movement, in the equality and freedom.

Víctor Jara will live forever in the heart of the Chilean people!

Bronislaw Malinowski: my expert in anthropology

Hello my friends! Today I will speak you about Bronislaw Malinowski, an anthropologist very important. He was born in 1884 in Poland and he died in 1942 in U.S.A. Malinowski is the refounder of the British social anthropology.

He travelled to New Guinea, where he worked and lived with the trobriands, a primitive people. He lived ten years with the trobriands and he learnt their customs, really he learnt the trobriand’s life form.

After his travel and in his travel, Malinowski created two important things for anthropology and social sciences: fieldwork and functionalism. With respect to fieldwork, he says that the anthropologist must go and live with the primitive people, one year minimum. Now the anthropologist can not study the primitive people with books, he must be in their environment. And with respect to functionalism, he says all the social parts of a human group are interrelated and plays a role within a system. Now the anthropologist must analize social institutions in terms of collective satisfaction of individual needs.

I like Malinowski because he says that the anthropology must realize fieldwork and live with the primitive people. What do you think? I hope your opinions…

Bye…
